This inscription was originally in the northern
most recess, part of this has been rebuilt into monument number 23.
Amanfissima & officiosissima coniunoe Margarita Clayhills suo sexui raris animi
corporisq dotibus praefulgens duo ex defuncto extrui imp___ Remainder destroyed.
suo fato functus ad deum & coelitus migravit decemb aetatis suae anno 67.

A most loving and most dutiful (?officious) wife, Margaret Clayhills,
excelling her own sex in the rare gifts of mind and body, two sons of the
deceased ordered this to be erected_____ having finished her course, she took
flight to God and the spirits of the blessed in December 1643, and of her age
67.
