Inscription.

Heir lyis ane godly and vertous man Andrew Schippirt, Baxter, Burges in Dundie, who departit this lyf the 13 of November 1641, and of his age 65.

Nathaniels harte, lezaliels hand,
if ever anie hade,
then boldlie may ze say hade he
who lyes in the bede.

Monumentum hoc patri charissimi filius unicum Mr An Schippirt ecclesia benvie pastor caedendum curavit.

To his dearest father his only son Mr Andrew Shepherd, Minister at the Church of Benvie, caused this monument to be erected.

This monument was discovered to the north side of 978 whilst digging in October 1836, it was broken into two pieces.
