Inscription.

1842 Erected by FREDERICK FORBES shipmaster Dundee In memory of his father PETER FORBES Teacher of navigation who died 23rd August 1823. and his mother MARGARET DOIG who died 19th Jan 1815 also his mother and sister JAMES & ANN who died in infancy Original Inscription. 1810. Erected by Peter Forbes, Mariner, Navigator and Margaret Doig, his spouse in memory of two of their children, viz, Ann aged 2 years and 3 months, James aged 13 months.
