Erected
By Thomas Smart
In memory of his father
Andrew Smart Mason
and Architect in Dundee
Who died the 3rd of October
1736 aged 60 years
As allo his spouse
Anne Shephard
Who died the 20th of Feb
1758 aged 63 years
And six of their children
who all ly interred here.

The above named
Andrew Smart
Built the Town house of Dundee
and many other
public and private buildings

 


Sarcophagus erected by Thomas Smart in memory of his father, Andrew Smart, mason and architect in Dundee, 1736. Andrew Smart "built the Town House of Dundee, and many other public and private edifices."

 

Thomas Smart is also interred in the Howff, memorial number 54.
