Inscription.

This stone was erected by Janet Watson in memory of her husband Peter Gaven shipmaster in Dundee who died 1 Sept 1758. Janet Watson 15th April 1763. Henry Watson hammerman in Dundee, died 15th Dec 1763.

This stone was erected by Janet Watson in memory of her husband Peter Gaven, shipmaster in Dundee, who died the 1st of September 1758, aged 33 years.
Here now I silently do ly,
Till Christ, my Glorious head,
Once by his Quick'ning Voice shall cry,
And raise me from the dead.
Also here lyes interr's Janet Watson, spouse to Peter Gaven, Shipmaster, who died the 15th of April 1763, aged 26 years. As also lyes interr'd Henry Watson, Hammerman in Dundee, who died 15th December 1763, aged 55 years.
