The Lovell family at this time held a high position as merchants in Dundee
Hic citus est Alexander Lovell filius et Jacobi Lovell civis
Deidonanus et Euffiame Forret filius legittime prognatus qui obiit die mensis
Octobris__ anno D. 1579 aetatis suae 28.
Mors vita fidelium.
Serve rone intra in gaudium domini tui quod vita accumulat vita priore prior.
Here lies Alexander Lovell, lawfully begotten son of James Lovell, Citizen of
Dundee, and Euphemia Forret, who died the__ day of the month of October, in the
year of the Lorg 1579, and of his age 28.
Death is the life of the faithful.
Good servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord, that thy life now may be more
blessed than they former life.
