William Duncan
*A large fragment from 715 lies on top of this monument, the
second picture is fragments from the base of 851 which also includes fragments
from 819 used in its construction.
This stone was erected by Elisabeth Dall, in memory of her
husband, William Duncan, Maltman, who died the 15th day of September 1743, aged
40 years; also their children Margaret, Robert, James, and Robert.
Here lyes William Duncan, M.A. Preacher of the Gospel, son of
the said William Duncan, Maltman, who died the 4 ____ 1775, aged 26 years M_____
th ____ Dall died ______ 1786, aged _____.
Omnes eodem cogimur, post mortem coronam vitae
Death is inevitable. After death the crown of life.
