by JOHN BLINSHALL

shipwright Dundee

and ANN YOUNG his spouse

in memory of his mother in law

ELISABETH RITCHIE who

died in 1784 aged 59 years

Also his father in law

WILLIAM YOUNG gardener who

died in 1792 aged 61 years also

their children ANN JOHN and

DAVID BLINSHALL`s also their

son in law JOHN FARROW mariner

who died in 1816 aged 32 years

to perpetuate the memory of

their children Viz

ALEXANDER who died 31 March

1820 aged 22 months

THOMAS who died 9th February

(unreadable) 


1825 aged 16 months. Ann who died 12th December 1836 aged 20 years and 5 months and Eliza who died 1st April 1852 aged 23 years and 4 months. Also his Grandson George Fleming Walker who died 28th October 1857 aged 9 months. The above Thomas McGregor died 21st July 1858 aged 65 years.

Dundee 17 Oct 1859, permission granted to the representatives of the late John Blinshall, shipwright to remove the headstone No 717 and to erect another in stead thereof, but that without prejudice to the rights of other parties.
