 Flat stone to George Anderson and his spouse, Barbara Monorgund, 1586.

 

Marshalled arms and initials.


Hic jacet probus vir Georgius Andersone burges de Dundie qui obiit primo die Octobris anno doii 1586 aetatis suae 63. Hic quoque jacet proba matrona Barbara Monorgund sponsa dicti Georgius quae obiit ultimo die Decembris anno 1586 aetatis suae 63

Here lies an honest man George Anderson, Burgess of Dundee, who died 1st October A.D. 1586, and of his age 63.

Here lies an honest Matron Barbara Monorgund, spouse of the said George, who died the last day of December in the year 1586, and of her age 63.

We have reached the port, fate and fortune farewell.
