1811 Erected by Mary Scott in
memory of her husband David Rattray, Manufacturer, Dens, who died 22 Jan 1811,
aged 51 years; and four children, viz, Mary, David, Thomas, and John, who died
in infancy.

March 24th 1849 revisal dues paid by Mrs Margaret Rattray or Ireland, wife of
James Ireland, shipmaster for permission to remove old headstone and replace it
by a new one, in terms of minutes of Hospital Committee of 30th January & 28th
