Inscription.

Inscription was in Latin now almost totally erased. The text is rather hard to read and apologise for the errors.

Hic situs Jacobus Lovelavis Deidonanus sponsus Euffamaie Forret obiit 16 ? mensis April A.D 1582 aetatis suae 66 (verse)

Erected by James Lovell to Eufamia Forret who died 16th April 1582 aged 66

Here lies James Lovell, Citizen of Dundee, husband of Euphemia Forret, who died the 16th day of the month of April, in the year of the Lord 1582, and of his age 66.

I believe that my Redeemer liveth, and that on the last day I shall rise again, and that my bones shall be renewed at last, and in my flesh I shall see my Lord. Job xix 25. 26.
