 This stone was erected by Andrew Doig, manufr, in memory of his 
spouse, Janet Phillips, who died the 31st Decr 1785, aged 30 years. and in 
memory of his daughter, Janet, who died the 2nd August 1782, Aged 2 years, 37 
days; Also Andrew, who died the 17th September 1784, Aged 72 days. And one, whom God was pleas'd to call, Before her name was given; But hopes she Reigns with Christ her Lord, Triumphant in the Heavens. Source: The Book of the Howff, ŠLibraries, Leisure and Culture
