Inscription.

Erected by Alexander Morren, Vintner in Dundee, in memory of his wife Margaret Crichton, who died January 22nd 1800, aged 29 years; Also his mother Margaret Walker died 21st May 1803, aged 78 years; and his two sisters, Elisabeth died 7th April 1803, aged 45 years, Mary died 18th May 1810, aged 50 years; also his son John aged 2 years.

Here lies the remains of Alexander Morren, the erector of this stone, and many years Innkeeper in Dundee, who died on the 19th July 1836, in the 70th year of his age.
