To the memory of James Haliburton Esq, during many years one
of the Magistrates of Dundee, greatly esteemed. Born May 5th 1730, and died July
6th 1802, in the hope of a blessed resurrection.
The Haliburtons, a family much respected in Dundee, and
generally in the Magistracy since the achievements of their ancestor during the
Reformation, lie beneath this monument.

Claimants: Mrs Cochrane Seagate, Mrs Davidson, Broughty Ferry,
