Only James Haliburton visible.


To the memory of James Haliburton Esq, during many years one of the Magistrates of Dundee, greatly esteemed. Born May 5th 1730, and died July 6th 1802, in the hope of a blessed resurrection.

The Haliburtons, a family much respected in Dundee, and generally in the Magistracy since the achievements of their ancestor during the Reformation, lie beneath this monument.

Claimants: Mrs Cochrane Seagate, Mrs Davidson, Broughty Ferry, Mrs G Hill, High Street, Miss Mary Burton, Tay Street as representatives of Bailie Halliburton.
