This stone was erected in memory of
Alexander Crichton, sometime Maltman in Dundee, who died the 30th day of June
1782, aged 53 years; also his spouse Margaret Amer, who died the 3rd day of July
1782, aged 51 years; and 6 of their children who also lyes hear, and 3 survive
this date.
