1795. Erected by David Stiven,
weaver in Dundee, and Margaret Lownie his spouse, in memory of his children, viz,
David died July 1st 1788, aged 13 months; John died march 20th 1789, aged 18
days; Margaret died March 3rd 1792, aged 6 years 11 months and 13 days; Betty
died April 15th 1792, aged 7 months and 3 weeks. Also my father William Stiven
died January 10 1797, aged 79 years.
