Inscription.

 

 This stone was erected

by JOHN DICK of Pitkerro

writer in Dundee & ELIZ

BETH SMITH his spouse

in memory of JAMES DICK

their son who died on the

first day of October 1697 in the second year of his age

and whole body is here interred

Here also is interred the body of the said ELIZABETH SMITH who died the 24th of May

1736 in the 68 year of her age, and likewise the said body of JOHN DICK who died the 21st March 1756 in

the 84th year of his age they had an only daughter married to JAMES FYFFE

of Dron who died before her father leaving a numerous family
