ANDREW GIBSON in memory of his son ??????


This stone was erected by Andrew Gibson, in memory of his son Andrew Gibson, who died the twenty ninth day of September 1769, aged five months and twenty six days.

Post mortum vitae ( Lives after death).

Great and admard by all ye lovely kare,

Death darked furth by chance his fatal sting;

for seeing proof so vesey keep and praise,

he took for autumn what was but ye spring.
