This stone was erected by John
Monro, shoemaker in Dundee, in memory of his spouse Margaret Wright, daughter to
Lourance Wright, Gardener in the Parish of Airlx, who died the 11th of March
1771, aged 37 years; also Alespt Monro their daughter, who lay interred here.
The sting of death is sweet unto believers, why?
It doth the just invite into eternity.
