 Sacred

to the memory of

THOMAS COWAN who died 3rd Jany 1807

aged 83 years

JANET MILLER his spouse who died in 1792

aged 75 years

CHRISTINA COWAN or BRUCE their daughter

who died 21st April 1830

aged 63 years

and of her husband

WILLIAM BRUCE who died 11th March 1846

aged 82 years

also

four of their children who died in infancy

and

MARGARET BRUCE or DICK their daughter

who died 29th December 1859

aged 74 years


1813. Erected by William Bruce, Baker, Dundee, in memory of his mother-in-law Janet Miller, who died 1792, aged 75 years; and his father-in-law Thomas Cowan, Baker, who died 3rd Jany 1807, aged 83 years. Also four of his children interr'd here, with Christian Cowan his spouse, who died 21st April 1830, aged 68 years.
