Inscription.

Erected 1805

The grave below this stone

together with a grave upon the

South side and another upon the

North side belongs to

James Syme Merchant Dundee

 


In May 1834 a monument was dug up beside this one and inscribed:-

Heir lyis ane honest woman Matilda Peirson, spous of Ihone Lyoun, Skyner, Burges of Dundie, quha depairted the 14 Februar 1628, and of her aige _4.

Tandem bona cavsa triumphat

At length a good cause is successful.
