Inscription.

Here lyes Helen Mitchell, daughter to David Mitchell, maltman in Dundee, who died the first of Decr 1738, aged 12 months.

Revised by David Hill in memory of his mother Effie Mitchell, who died 16 March 1811, aged 83; and of his father Abram Hill, who died 7th Febry 1816, aged 84.

This memorial carries the number 310 and originally sat some distance away from its current position where 310-2 is located now. This memorial is to Helen Mitchell the daughter of David Mitchell, it was then revised in 1811 by David Hill, glover, Dundee, now in Broughty Ferry. Then finally removed and placed in its current position.

1859 May 24. The Hospital Master and Hospital Factor as authorised by the Hospital Committee granted permission to the family of the Late David hill, glover to remove the headstone No310 and replace it by a new one.
