Erected by JAMES STEEL plasterer Dundee and his spouse JANE SKINNER in memory of his mother HELEN HOGG who died on 19th Feby 1827 aged 64 years also of two of their daughters who died on 21st Novr 1830 in infancy the above JAMES STEEL died 23rd January 1855 aged 65 years the above JANE SKINNER died 16th April 1854 aged 62 years
