This stone was erected By ALEXANDER COUPAR mer- -chant in memory of his uncle WILLIAM CHALMERS late baker in Dundee who died the 5th April 1785 aged 52 years also his son JOHN COUPAR who died March 28th 1796 aged 1 year and 2 months
