Stone No.223

Inscription.

Original inscription in Latin.

To the memory of John, who died 12th April, in the year of human salvation one thousand eight hundred and sixteen, aged eleven months, Alexander Maxwell Adams and Rose McElheran his parents caused this stone to be erected.

Affliction sore long time he bore,

Physicians were in vain;

Til God did please to give him ease,

and free him from his pain.
