Inscription.

 1814

By JAMES ABERDEIN and his

spouse in memory of their children

WILLIAM who died on the 11th aged 5 years

JOSEPH who died on the 12th aged 8 months

and ISABELLA who died on the

21st Novemver 1813 aged 3 years

Also ELIZABETH aged 9 years

BARBARA aged 4 years

and ISABELLA aged 1 year and 5 months

who died formaerly

also lies here an infant son who died

on the 20th Jan 1815

The above

JAMES ABERDEIN

died 25th January 1840 aged 83 years

ELISABETH MURDUE relict of the above

died on the 28th Sept 1854

aged 84 years

 

Verse.

 

REAR

 

Suffer little children and forbid

them not to come into me for of such

is the Kingdom of Heaven

 

In memory of JAMES ABERDEIN

who died 30th of August 1856 aged 50 years

Also his daughter

EMILIA who died on the 28th of January 1857

in the fourteenth year of her age

also his son

GEORGE who died in sept 1867

in the 22nd year of his age


And Jean who died on the 12th March 1815, aged 16 years.

The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, Blessed be the name of the Lord. Suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me, for of such is the Kingdom of heaven.
