1816 Erected by John Mitchell,
Mariner, in memory of his father Robert Mitchell, Wright, Dundee, who died 2nd
December 1813, aged 72 years; and his mother Barbara Mitchell, who died 16th
Novr 1815, aged 71 years. Also of his daughter Janet, who died 18th June 1809,
aged 2 years; and his son John, who died 21st March 1814, aged 7 years.
