Confectioner and baker Dundee

and ELISABETH MITCHEL his spouse

in memory of their family

viz MARGARET who died 7th Dec 1820

aged 2 years

the above

GEO. WATSON died 4th April 1847

and E. MITCHELL died 15th Novr 1853

also to the memory of

ELIZABETH WATSON TENNANT

Granddaughter of the above

GEORGE WATSON and daughter

of THOMAS TENNANT Confectioner

who died 8th Jany 1857


Why do we mourn departed friends,

Or shake at deaths alarm ?

'Tis but the voice that Jesus sends,

To call them to his arms.

Are we not tending upward too,

As fast as we can more ?

For would we wish the hours more slow,

To keep us from our love.
