1838 Erected by GEORGE THOMS shipmaster Dundee in memory of his father WILLIAM THOMS shipmaster who died 4th March 1834 aged 56 years also of GEORGE & WILLIAM THOMS his brothers who both died in infancy JANET MUDIE THOMS his sister died 30th November 1849 GEORGINA THOMS THOMSON his niece died 29th January 1857 HELEN SPENCE his mother died 21st August 1858 MARGARET SWAN THOMS his sister died 23rd November 1859
