This Stone was erected By GEORGE STEVENSON shoemaker in Hawkhill in memory of his wife ELISABETH LEIGHTON who died the 10th day of April 1824 aged 71 years Revised in 1839 By THOMAS and CHRISTIAN STEVENSON in memory of their father GEORGE STEVENSON who died 28th June 1832 aged 79 years
