George Murdoch
Late Maltman in Dundee
who died the 13th Feby 1816
aged 56 years
this memorial is raised
by
Elizabeth Langlands
his spouse
George Murdoch his son
and Isabella Murdoch his daughter
as a testimony of their esteem for
loving husband and
an affectionate father
the above George Murdoch Jun
Late Kirk treasurer
died the 28th Jan 18 aged 50 years
also the said
Elizabeth Langlands
died the 29th Nov 1841 aged 77 years
Helen Robertson
wife of George Murdoch Jun
Who died 18th May 1848 aged 52 years

Catherine Smith

who died in infancy in 1836

and 1837, children of

Edward Smith and Catherine Miller.

 

The grave dissolves each social tie,

And tells us too that we must die,

And then corruption see;

Happy they are where hopes do rise,

High as the honours of the skies,

Where joys immortal be.
