Stone No.1143

 

Inscription.

1821. Erected by William Doig, Weaver, Hawkhill, Dundee, in memory of his son William, who died 9th July 1796, aged 2 years; and David who died 22nd June 1819, aged 12 years. Also in memory of his grandson William Doig who died 4th May 1820, aged 22 months.

23 April 1851. Family of the late James Doig paid revisal dues for permission to remove old stone and replace it by another (1143-1)/ minute of Hospital Com of 27 July 1837
