1837 Erected By JOHN STEWART Douglas bleachfield in memory of his spouse JANET McBAIN who died 15th May 1823 aged 36 years also his sister JANET STEWART who died 9th October 1856 aged 72 years the said JOHN STEWART died 27th January 1857 aged 68 years
