Stone No.178

Inscription.

This stone was erected in memory of Patrick Brown and Isabella Miller, late of

Gallowhill, by their youngest son, David Brown, now a Master in the Royal Navy.

Tho' boisterous blasts and worldly fears,

Have tost me to and fro,

Yet, by the order of God's decree,

I harbour here below;

Where now I ride at anchor safe,

With many of our fleet;

Expecting one day to set sail,

Our Admiral, Christ, to meet.
