Erected by David Coupar, feuer,
James's Park and Janet Allan his spouse, in memory of their only son David, who
was born 27th Octr 1820, and died 20th April 1837.
"Doctorina sed vim promovet insitam Merses profundo pulchrior
evenit." HOR.
The above David Coupar died 27th November 1848 aged 61 years.
