Sarcophagus monument erected in 1684.

 

Inscription entirely defaced and new one substituted.

 

 

JAMES CAMPBELL died on the 12 day of

August 1832 aged 76 years

this recorded as a tribute of respect to

his mother by his surviving relict

AE 5 3/4 and FRANCIS WHETSTONE father

of the above OB 8th April 1818 


Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth Phillips, spouse to James Campbell, Merchant in Dundee, who died on the 9th day of August 1821 aged 68 years.
