by whom this stone was erected
born at Armyford 10th April 1780
died at Dundee 29th August 1840
also their son GEORGE
who died at sea 10th April 1833 aged 26 years |
I left the seas at gods command
where oft I have been toss`d
but now I fear not rocks nor sands
being on a quiet safe cost
now here I silently doth ly
till christ my glorious head
once his quickening voice shall cry
and raise me from the dead.
