Inscription.

Erected by James C Guthrie, Merchant, Dundee, in memory of his brother George Hunter Guthrie who died 18th April 1834 aged 21 years, much lamented. And James Smith who died 10th April 1836 aged 10 years. Also James Alexander Guthrie his son, who died 19th August 1841 aged 14 months. Also his father James Guthrie, who died 17th May 1845 aged 87 years.

Sacred to the memory of Charles Edward who died 3rd September 1848 aged 10 months, and of Edmund George who died 24th Novr 1848 aged 2 years and 11 months, sons of James C Guthrie. Also his infant son Andrew Taylor who died 11th June 1850, aged 10 weeks.
