Inscription.

1849 Erected by ANDREW NICOLL shipmaster Dundee in memory of his father JOHN NICOLL who died on the 21st May 1834 aged 67 years and his brother WILLIAM who died at Hayti 26th Septr 1840 aged 44 years also his sister ELIZABETH who died here 21st January 1844 aged 43 years and two brothers who died in infancy
