GEORGE GRAY

wood merchant Dundee

who died 10th June 1835 aged 84 years

and of

CATHERINE BALFOUR

his spouse

who died 1st February 1833 aged 39 years

also of their children

MARGARET

who died 21st December 1807 aged 7 years

ISABEL MARSHALL

who died 21st January 1809 in infancy

WILLIAM MARSHALL BLAIR

who died 25th December 1822 aged 7 years

JAMES BALFOUR

who died at Devon Ironworks Clackmanan

shire 22nd January 183? aged 18 years

ALEXANDER BALFOUR

who died 18th April 1840 aged 22 years

and THOMAS

who died on his passage from India

30th November 1830, aged 20 years.


Inscription on Northern side


 GEORGE second Son of the

Rev JOHN RONBURGH

died 7th April 1844

aged twenty three months. 


The reasoning for the scalloped lower corner is unknown. In all likelihood the corner was broken then carved in this fashion to key in a repair which has since fallen out.


Old tomb, no inscription.
