Inscription.

 

Erected by Lyal Neill, Brewer, Dundee and his spouse Helen Gilbert in memory of their daughter Jean, who departed this life on the 7th January 1836 aged 4 years and 6 months. The above Lyal Neill died on the 14th Novr 1845 aged 40 years.

death came with friendly care

the opening bud to heaven convey`d

and bade it blossum there.
